In this workshop, you will learn how to make a mixed media mosaic that looks like it has been embroidered in jewels! You will learn to arrange materials like jewelry, chains, beads, glass, shells, stones and other ephemera into a cohesive yet free flowing design. There is no grouting so almost any materials will work. Debra will help you develop your basic design outline and color palette and advise you on which elements will work and complement each other. She will then show you how to adhere and layer your materials into a design resembling a beautiful embroidered fabric. You can “embroider” an 8x8” or 6x6” cradled panel. When the day is over you will go home with a stunning mosaic ready for hanging.
